Haleigh Akin, Landscape Designer &
Garden Enthusiast
Haleigh Akin is a professional landscape designer with a degree in landscape architecture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. While acquiring a degree in landscape architecture she studied the meeting of the built and natural environment. Since graduating, she has worked at distinguished landscape architecture firms in Northern California, the California Central Coast and the Bay Area. Haleigh comes from a long line of passionate gardeners. Her close relationship with plants developed through working in her family’s garden in her youth, and now her very own garden in New Almaden. All this time and experience has made Haleigh an expert in plants and trees and their relationship with California’s diverse regions and microclimates!

My landscape consultation service gives us an opportunity to meet and discuss your landscape goals and develop an approach to achieve them. During our meeting I am happy answer any garden related question you may have, this is our time to talk!
My design services include site planning, planting, hardscape, lighting and irrigation design. I am happy to work on projects that may only require one or two of these design services.
As your designer, I make myself available to coordinate with your contractor to see the design through as intended. I have a list of trusted contractors that I enjoy working with and I am also happy to work with your trusted professional!
Gardens will evolve and they will need tending to! I am happy to schedule visits with my clients to review the development of the garden and advise on any maintenance needs. We can also discuss ways to further develop the garden or address areas for improvement.
